BOSTON – In a year that continues to see more women from diverse backgrounds run for political office at all levels, the Massachusetts Women’s Political Caucus Political Action Committee (MWPC PAC) proudly extends its congratulations to our twenty-four endorsed candidates (of twenty eight candidates with preliminaries) on their victories.
The hard work and commitment the endorsed candidates put into their campaigns was outstanding and their success will impact public policy across the state. This year, more women than ever before sought out the support of the MWPC PAC and the endorsements across Massachusetts included races for Mayor, City Council, and School Committee Offices.
“We are making great strides towards gender parity as 24 out of 28 MWPC PAC endorsed candidates with preliminaries advance to the general election” said Amy Diamond, MWPC PAC Co-Chair. “With Massachusetts sitting at 27th in the nation for representation of women in elected office, there is still a tremendous amount of work to be done, and we look forward to the future successes of this incredible group of women.”
